About the artwork:
Aurora II is a striking exploration of light, atmosphere, and the mysterious beauty of the natural world. Andrew captures the ethereal quality suggested by its name, blending realism with a subtle surreal sensibility to create an image that feels both grounded and otherworldly.
There is a quiet sense of wonder within the work, inviting the viewer to pause and become absorbed in its atmosphere. Andrew’s considered use of colour, tonal depth, and detailed oil technique gives Aurora II a rich presence while leaving space for personal interpretation.
Painted in oils using Andrew’s distinctive limited-palette approach, the piece combines rich tonal depth with intricate detail and a raw, tactile presence. Aurora II is a one-of-one original artwork.
