About the artwork:
Galaxy Girl is a captivating exploration of identity, imagination, and our connection to something far greater than ourselves. Andrew blends portraiture with surrealism, transforming the human figure into a cosmic presence that feels both intimate and otherworldly.
The work invites the viewer to consider the idea that we are not separate from the universe, but part of its vast and mysterious story. Rich tonal contrasts and Andrew’s detailed oil technique give the piece a strong visual presence, while the cosmic imagery adds a sense of wonder, curiosity, and possibility.
Painted in oils using Andrew’s distinctive limited-palette approach, the work combines hyper-detailed realism with surreal imagery, creating a work that is as visually compelling as it is psychologically provocative. The intricate textures and expressive anatomy give the painting a rich, tactile intensity. Galaxy Girl is a one-of-one original artwork.
