About the artwork:
Muldahara explores the foundations of being—grounding, instinct, and the primal forces that connect us to ourselves and the world around us. Drawing from the concept of the Muladhara, or root chakra, the work reflects themes of stability, survival, physicality, and the search for a sense of belonging.
Andrew blends realism, surrealism, and symbolism to create an image that feels both elemental and psychologically charged. The restrained palette and considered oil technique give the work a grounded presence, while the symbolism encourages the viewer to look deeper into the relationship between body, mind, and the forces that anchor us.
Painted in oils using Andrew’s distinctive limited-palette approach, the work balances rich tonal depth with expressive detail, giving the piece a raw, tactile presence. Muldahara is a one-of-one original artwork.
