Dope Mean is a surreal, hyper-detailed exploration of desire, dopamine, and the restless urge for more. Inspired by a hungry little dopamine molecule, the creature’s oversized eyes, twisting textures, and chaotic fleshy form give physical shape to the brain’s relentless reward-seeking impulses. Equal parts unsettling and playful, the work captures that familiar craving for another hit of excitement, stimulation, or happiness. With its dark humour and imaginative anatomy, Dope Mean transforms an invisible chemical process into a bizarre and captivating character—one that may feel uncomfortably familiar.
