Medim: Oil on canvas

About the artwork:
Monster Hunter is a powerful exploration of instinct, confrontation, and the primal forces that exist beneath the surface of everyday life. Andrew blends realism with surrealism and symbolism, creating an image that feels both confronting and strangely captivating.
The title suggests more than a battle between hunter and prey—it invites reflection on the monsters we pursue, the ones we fear, and the possibility that the greatest challenge may be confronting something within ourselves. Andrew’s detailed oil technique gives the work a strong physical presence, while the surreal elements leave space for the viewer to develop their own interpretation.
Painted in oils using Andrew’s distinctive limited-palette approach, the work balances intricate detail with a sense of mystery and visual tension. Monster Hunter is a one-of-one original artwork.
