Let’s begin creating our Photoshop comic book effect. Create a new 850 by 645 pixels document in Photoshop. You can, of course, choose any size you want, but you will have to adjust the settings proportionally.
Make a new layer called Sunburst Background. Pick the Gradient Tool (G) and choose the gradient colors: #777777 and #c5c5c5.

Add a second Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer to increase the contrast of some parts of the photo.
Click on the third button from the left to add this adjustment as a Clipping Mask for the layer below.

These subject studies are the result of my early morning speed painting sessions, where I explore forms, movement, and composition that often appear in my larger works. Each session is a focused exercise in spontaneity and discipline: I create five images at 2 minutes each, followed by two at 5 minutes, two at 10 minutes, and one final piece at 20 minutes—wiping the canvas clean between each interval. The artwork you see is the final image from that sequence. Many of these studies include a QR code, which you can scan to watch the entire creation process of the piece you've selected.
All subject studies come mounted in a matte board, ready to hang as-is or easily slide into a frame that complements your space.
